Why Creative Tours Belfast?

Why Creative Tours Belfast?

We have great local knowledge of Belfast. Let us save you research time by taking you directly to the parts of our city that will be of the most interest to you. The best music venues, the coolest arts centres, the less-well known but brilliant exhibition displays, hidden gems, iconic buildings, historic ‘entries’ and new street art.

Our in-depth and specialist knowledge of Belfast’s music heritage and current music scene, across all genres, makes our music tours the best to book. The team used to publish a Belfast arts magazine, ‘In Belfast’ and still forensically absorbs information on all that is taking place in the city’s art galleries, theatres, literary groups, clubs and pubs – and attends a lot of it too!

Our passion shines through in all our tours – whether public or tailored especially for your private group.

Your Guide
Your Guide Dolores

Previously I worked for many years, in London and then back in Belfast, as a journalist, editor and publisher in book, magazine and newspaper publishing, and have also run a PR and publishing services consultancy. (This included setting up a new ‘In Belfast’ arts magazine for a time.) More recently, I held Communications and Public Engagement posts at one of Belfast’s Universities. I like to think that my years as a writer and editor help me to craft a plethora of entertaining stories to share with guests on my tours

I am a passionate and knowledgeable music and arts fan, with a particular expertise in the music heritage of Belfast and the current music scene across all genres. I played the Bodhran (the drum of traditional Irish music) from a young age, progressing to a rock drum kit. I have experience of both singing and drumming (badly) in bands, and have written and recorded my own songs. I’ve helped to run Girls Rock School Northern Ireland and am currently a member of the Cathedral Quarter Choir and the OTH Music Collective.

Our Mission

Our Mission

Welcome to Belfast.  But not as you know it!"

Forget the guidebooks and tourist traps.  We take you straight to the raw, rebellious heart of Belfast - the side they don’t put on postcards.  From punk and rock venues and colourful street art in edgy, narrow 'entries' to experience below the radar music and art scenes that scream with creativity.  We don’t do dull!

We don't just deliver tours, we share a dynamic experience in our vibrant city with you.   Join us for a walk through the veins of a city built on grit, graft, and a refusal to play by the rules.  We bring you the stories of the misfits, the shakers, the noise-makers, and the risk-takers - the ones who didn’t ask for permission.

For the curious.  For the creatives.  For the ones who want more than another ‘nice day out.’

🔥 No filters. No fluff.  Just real Belfast, uncut creative.

What Guests Say

What Guest Say
"Dolores was an excellent tour guide who was fun, relaxed, knew the facts and delivered them in a friendly, comprehensible way. I was very proud to hear that Belfast was a trailblazer for anti-slavery campaigning back in the 1790s."
